I’m feeling pretty good that I have been able to successfully write everyday on this blog for almost two months without missing a single day. Granted I wish my writing was better, but for now it’s about doing the task everyday. Improvement and other unseen benefits (like a 3 book deal) will come.
I was also inspired by the One Sketch Day and the One sentence a Day journals I wrote about here. This is also a perfect time to admit to a compulsion that is pretty obvious to anyone who knows me or works with me.
I have a Moleskine addiction.
The healthy side of this addiction is that I’ve made myself a promise not to buy one without having a purpose for it and actually use it.
Well I bought another one this week.
Now I thought about this “everyday” thing a bit and decided I probably would not get enough motivation to sketch everyday, nor would I probably get enough satisfaction from it. Although, I do sketch ideas but it’s not a life’s necessity for me. And writing one sentence? Nah, that’s what Twitter is for.
So I landed on journaling one idea everyday. My ideas generally fall into a few categories, or at least I think they do and have so far. I might share what those categories are another time.
I’m pretty excited at the thought of looking back over time at these ideas. After all, those other two books deals need to come from somewhere.
