Lets face it. We all want our daughters to marry someone who can provide for them. Duh.
I have three. So yes, I hope there are three Dr.s out there preparing themselves to marry my daughters.
But.
The lie us Dads tend to believe is that in order for our girls to marry someone rich and successful we must spoil them. You know, let’s allow them to experience and get used to a high standard of living so they will be sure to find someone that will allow them to continue to live at that high standard of living.
Admit it. You’ve thought it. Set the bar high, right?
I did.
But our job as parents here is to raise them to be secure, satisfied and thus happy no matter what income level they marry into.
If all else fails, invite a few pre-med students over to the house every now and then.
